Bateman Litwin N.V. (“Bateman Litwin”) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary Litwin SA (“Litwin”) has been awarded with its partners a turnkey EPC contract for a value of € 143 million by Gaz de France, for the construction of surface facilities (compression and processing units) of the natural gas underground storage site of Beynes in France.
This contract has been signed within the frame of a consortium with Boccard and Actemium. Litwin is an engineering company specialized in turnkey EPC projects for the oil, gas, energy and chemical industries. Boccard is an industrial OEM specialized in the piping markets for complex facilities. Vinci Energies, through its Actemium brand, is a leader in the updating and efficiency of industrial sites. Its competences cover the electricity, data processing, instrumentation and mechanical sectors. Both of them have already worked with Gaz de France Group on other projects
This contract is part of a major investment program implemented by Gaz de France to restore, adapt and develop its natural gas underground storing sites. Gaz de France operates 12 natural gas storing sites in France. Beynes has been the first operational one in 1956. The new station is due be in service in April 2011.
